Welcome to Brecon Mountain Railway, one of the most popular railways in Wales. If your looking for a great day out to enjoy why not travel in one of the all-weather observation coaches behind a vintage steam locomotive, the trip will take you through beautiful scenery into Brecon Beacons National Park along the full length of the Taf Fechan Reservoir to Dolygaer.

On your return to Pant Station, visit Brecon Mountain Railways workshops where old steam locomotives are restored and new ones built - follow the footpath to a picnic site which has an amazing panoramic view of the Valley. If after your visit your feeling a little peckish, why not have a snack in the licensed tea rooms before buying a souvenir in the Centre's shop.

As well as the fantastic scenic views on board the steam locomotive, families can enjoy the children’s play area at Pontsticill, where they can relax and enjoy the serenity of the Reservoir – you can even take a picnic and make more of a relaxing family day out.
