Description
Set in one of Wales' most beautiful and idyllic locations in the Taff Bargoed Valley, the centre is the largest Climbing Centre in Wales.
E2, The Welsh International Climbing and Activity Centre, delivers an adrenaline-soaked range of activities to kick-start your senses. The centre boasts one of the biggest indoor climbing walls in Europe, a man-made caving system, purpose-built kayaking lakes, gorge walking, mountain biking…and it doesn’t stop there.
E2’s for you! Seven days a week, 364 days of the year, we’re open for anyone to come and take part in any of our exciting activities. There’s a lot more than just climbing at The Welsh International Climbing and Activity Centre!
We cater to anyone and everyone, and also offer extensive facilities to make your visit as comfortable and as fun as possible, whether you’re staying for an hour or an entire weekend!
General opening hours;
Climbing Walls: 10.00am - 10.00pm (Mon- Fri) and 10.00am - 7.30pm (Sat & Sun)
Health & Fitness Suite: 9.00am - 10.00pm (Mon- Fri) and 9.00am - 7.00pm (Sat & Sun)
The Centre: 9.00am - 11.30pm
The Lodge Bar & Restaurant
One of the best kept secrets at The Welsh International Climbing and Activity Centre is the fantastic bar and restaurant area. What better way to wind down after an exciting day’s activity or a tough workout in the gym than in our relaxing dining and lounge environment?
The Lodge Bar and Restaurant is open;
Monday - Friday: 7 pm - 11 pm
Saturday: 1 pm - 7 pm
Sunday: 1 pm - 7 pm
Accommodation
The E2 – Welsh International Climbing and Activity Centre have affordable bunkhouse accommodation, rated a 2 star facility by Visit Wales. These facilities can sleep up to 60 people in total, and consist of a number of comfortable bunkrooms. Each bunkroom is ideal for families, youth groups, or pretty much anyone happy to share a room!
There are so many benefits to staying onsite, particularly if you are taking part in more than one activity or session. E2 can also act as an affordable accommodation base from which to enjoy the culture and beautiful landscapes of the South Wales Valleys.- Access
