Description
Number Four Chapel Row is a superb example of a skilled ironworker's cottage. It is also famous as the birthplace of Dr. Joseph Parry, probably Wales' best known musician and composer. The ground floor has been carefully restored and furnished to give an insight into life in the 1840's, whilst the first floor houses a Joseph Parry exhibition.

Group Bookings
Admission during normal opening hours is free.
Guided tours (for groups of less than 25) or seated illustrated talks (for groups of 25 plus) can be provided at a fee.
Visits can be arranged at times when the museum is closed but a fee to cover staffing, lighting etc. is charged of £2 per person. We need 7 days notice of an out of hours visit (please contact us for details).
Participation in 'special events' may also be charged.
Educational Groups
For Educational Visits please telephone Cyfarthfa Castle Museum & Art Gallery on the above number or complete the online booking enquiry form. The Education Officer may need to speak to you in order to discuss requirements/arrangements and confirm date and time for your planned visit. A form will be sent out to be signed and returned. Please contact us at least a month in advance to avoid disappointment.
- Access
The Museum Assistants at Cyfarthfa Castle will be happy to open the disabled access for visitors, and will draw your attention to the chair lift and disabled toilets.
