Splashpad and Play
Exciting new developments are underway in Cyfarthfa Park!
A state of the art Visitor Centre with cafe facilities, a
Family Play Zone and Splash Pad has been built with
Heads of the Valleys/Convergence Funding to improve the leisure
facilities in Cyfarthfa Park for families, residents and
visitors to Merthyr Tydfil.
Sympathetically designed to integrate into its peaceful
surroundings, the project began in November 2009 by Gee
Construction.
The new state-of-the-art Splash Pad is guaranteed to
provide hours of fun for all, and to promote water play for
children of all ages and abilities. It's location within
eye-shot of Canolfan Cyfarthfa's Cafe gives parents the peace
of mind of being able to watch their children play whilst enjoying
a drink or snack at the Café.
Please note that the water facility in the play area is
now closed for the winter months and will reopen in the summer of
2012.
The playground is open as usual
