A family-friendly forest on edge of Brecon BeaconsGarwnant Visitor Centre, by Forest Holidays, sits in the heart of the beautiful Fforest Fawr, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons.

 

Set in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons National Park), just off the A470 north of Merthyr Tydfil, it lies within 400 acres of woodland on the northern side of Llwyn-on Reservoir. There you’ll find walking trails, mountain bike routes and bike hire and amazing activities.

 

Head to the Visitor Centre for useful information, maps, trail guides and inspiration for great places to visit, and browse gifts including local drinks, treats and souvenirs. It’s also the hub for booking Forest Ranger activities and hiring bikes, plus the very popular pottery painting sessions.

 

Close by, you’ll find toilets and baby changing facilities and a children’s play area – with mini zip line and wooden obstacle course. Then you can tuck into something tasty at the Forest Café or grab and go with treats to take away as you explore the forest.
