La Cantera is a self-contained accommodation situated in the village of Heolgerrig, in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. Once a double-garage, it has been converted to offer our guests beautiful views, easy access to attractions in the surrounding area, privacy, relaxation, tranquillity, and a high-end interior with the added luxury of a fire pit, a hot tub and a log burner.

La Cantera caters for everyone – bikers using Bike Park Wales, couples who would like a romantic get-away, families who would like to explore more of South Wales, walkers who would like to explore the Brecon Beacons; even groups of friends who are simply looking for a fun time away.

We are exceptionally proud of La Cantera and all it can offer you during your stay; we pride ourselves on the panoramic views of Merthyr Tydfil, including Cyfarthfa Park and Castle, and Pen y Fan, together with our brand-new facilities which include a fully-integrated, fully-equipped, modern kitchen, a beautiful bathroom, a luxurious double sofa bed, and a king size bed which can be separated into two single beds.
