On Saturday, April the 15th, 2025, the bilingual singer/songwriter Al Lewis will, embark on a unique tour in partnership with Transport for Wales; visiting towns and cities all along Wales’ stunning rail network. Al will not only be visiting new parts of the country but also undertaking a more environmental and social approach to travel, showing how musicians can do their part to help us reduce their carbon footprint.

It’s the year of Railway 200 but here in Merthyr we are celebrating the heritage of Richard Trevithick as a town where the railway revolution began and additional heritage events will also take place on the day with details to follow soon.

Al has performed at iconic events such as Glastonbury Festival, Nashville's Americana Music Festival, the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Lorient Festival (Brittany) and Celtic Connections in Glasgow and we are very much looking forward to welcoming Al Lewis to Canolfan and Theatr Soar.
