If you love food, you’ll love Merthyr Food Festival!
Merthyr’s tastiest festival returns to the town centre on Saturday, 22nd July.
With over 40 scrumptious vendors to browse during the event, you’ll find inviting dishes and produce such as cheeses, pasta, noodles, wood-fired pizza, mac and cheese, authentic Greek traditional cold dishes, Persian stews, tapas and paella, farm-reared meats, organic fruit and veg boxes, veggie pastries, handmade chocolates, fudge, Welsh cakes, crepes, brownies, cheesecakes, cookies, cakes, doughnuts, plus many other goodies.
Those looking for a tipple can head to the alcohol stalls, which will serve up spirits, beers, ciders, perry, and cocktails.
You can also pick up new kitchen utensils such as knives, sharpeners and peelers, and even small wooden furniture, treen and kitchenalia.
The festival makes for a pocket-friendly family day out. Entry to the festival is completely free, and it’s just £1 to park all day in the town centre pay & display car parks.
Amongst the food stalls, you’ll find lots of live entertainment that is sure to bring a smile to the faces of both children and adults, including live music, face painting, a circus skills workshop, a walkabout magician, and The Bubbles and Balloon Show. A flavourful day out that the whole family can enjoy.
