To celebrate the bicentenary of Cyfarthfa Castle we've created (with your help) a list of 200 books written about Merthyr or by the people of Merthyr!
This is just a small fraction of a list as there are hundreds of fantastic authors and books who aren't mentioned.
The Challenge is to read 200 by the end of January 2026!
Each month we'll be highlighting a certain topic with our pick of the top 10!
So here we have it - October is Merthyr Poets
All Merthyr Tydfil Public Libraries are running the Merthyr Reads Challenge.
You can collect your list of 200 books from your local library or you can download yourselves.
