Ride & Ramble 2nd November: BMR & Blaen-y-Glyn Waterfalls Guided Walk
Celebrate the magic of autumn with a captivating day out that combines a nostalgic train journey and a scenic guided walk through the golden hues of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Starting with a ride on the Brecon Mountain Railway, we’ll travel past shimmering reservoirs and beneath autumn-tinted forests, arriving at the end of the line to begin our guided 3.5-mile circular walk.. You will be led by Sarah Price who is a qualified and fully insured Lowland Walk Leader. Sarah, who operates Walk Hay, will ensure that every step of your adventure is safe, enjoyable, and enriching.
Starting at our Pant Station, we’ll ride through vibrant landscapes bursting with fresh greenery and wildflowers, past beautiful reservoirs, and deep into the heart of the Beacons, reaching the end of the line to begin our guided 3.5-mile circular walk.
Our route explores the atmospheric Blaen-y-Glyn Valley, where waterfalls cascade over rocky ledges, surrounded by woodlands adorned with the rich colors of the season. As fallen leaves crunch underfoot, you’ll follow tranquil forest trails that perfectly showcase the beauty of autumn in the Beacons.This leisurely yet invigorating walk takes approximately 2.5 hours, allowing plenty of time to immerse yourself in the serene landscape and snap stunning photos before catching the last train at 3:00 PM back to the start for 16:10.
This medium-grade walk features a moderate climb, some uneven and potentially muddy sections, and plenty of opportunities to pause, take in the views, and capture incredible photographs. Your professional guide will ensure a supportive and enjoyable experience for all, making this an ideal outing for those seeking inspiration in nature.
